Puka shell earrings are an island favorite for us local girls. Puka is the Hawaiian word for "hole" and refers to the naturally occurring hole in the middle of these rounded shells. I made these earrings using puka shells that I found on the shore of my favorite Maui beach. You can customize these shell earrings to suit your personal style and budget with your choice of sterling silver, 14k gold filled, gold plated, or silver-plated material.
