Maka Kehau Earrings

Maka Kehau Earrings (mah kah kay how) - Hearts Desire
I created these summer earrings using petite puka shells that I found washed up on the shores of a Maui beach. Puka is the Hawaiian word for "hole" and refers to the naturally occurring hole in the middle of these rounded shells. I put those shells on a open hoop with a dainty wire heart at the end. These earrings do come with plastic backings. You can customize these shell earrings to suit your personal style with your choice of gold plated, or silver-plated material.

As with all handmade jewelry, there will be slight variations in color, size, and shape as each pair of sea shell earrings are individually handcrafted and designed. These beach shells are natural so no two pieces are identical, and the shape may vary from the one pictured. Every shell, pearl and semi-precious gemstone is different, and each has its own unique combination of pattern and color that can vary.
